Glint Action Plans
Situation: Glint’s dashboards surfaced engagement survey data to HR professionals, execs and people managing teams.
Problems to solve for: The data was rich and allowed users to slice and dice in myriad ways, but just knowing the data didn't make people happy at work. Once people had their data, they didn't necessarily know how to improve their scores. Current Action Plan programs for most companies were done by training and traditional educational methods, but HR folks and supervisors didn’t have time to follow up with managers to see if they were making progress.
Challenge: Design an Action Plan feature that would connect insights from the data to concrete actions.
Design Kickoff Workshop: Understand and define the problem. Understand our users by creating two primary proto-personas.
Story Map was a working document that I created to inventory and prioritize all features. Stories became JIRA tickets.
UI Concepts: I quickly explored various page configurations as low-fidelity sketchy wireframes. Outcome
Final Design: The product was built into the already existing Dashboard, with a new module called Recommended Action Plans. The system would recommend three action areas based on their scores.
The Action Plans screen would be a place for managers to keep track of their current Action Plans, and also explore other recommendations.
On the Action Plan detail screen, a manager could mange their Action Items by adding, completing, re-ordering or removing them. They could explore suggestion Actions or create their own. Their real-time scores were shown so they could track their progress.

Each Action Plan would be accompanied by content written by Glint plus company provided and external resources.
